Success Courses
The Center for Orientation, Mentoring, Parents, and Academic Student Success (COMPASS) offers two courses designed to enhance
academic and personal success and are available to all first-year students: Frameworks for Success and Creating Your Success.
First Year Academic Advisor Meetings
Academic Advisor meetings for all first-year students are held during Fall and Spring semesters prior to registration for the
next semester. All students are strongly encouraged to attend their first-year advising meeting to better understand what the major
requirements are and meet faculty in their department. These meetings will be advertised via posters, table tents, and the student
newspaper.
If you need assistance at anytime, please contact your Advisor for an appointment. To find out who your advisor is, see the
Where to Go For What listing.
