Tech Showcase

This event is for students who are curious about what classes they need to take to complete a minor, or not sure about their choice of major. It is also for those who are looking for ways to enhance their Michigan Tech degree, for example, earning a teaching or coaching certificate, participating in undergraduate research, joining an Enterprise group, studying abroad, landing a Co-op, and much more.

Faculty, staff, and student representatives from each academic department, as well as from the Career Center, Counseling Services, Financial Aid, and International Programs and Services, and other campus departments, are available to share information during this expo of what Michigan Tech has to offer.

Check back later for the 2007 Tech Showcase date and time.

Success Courses

The Center for Orientation, Mentoring, Parents, and Academic Student Success (COMPASS) offers two courses designed to enhance academic and personal success and are available to all first-year students: Frameworks for Success and Creating Your Success.

First Year Academic Advisor Meetings

Academic Advisor meetings for all first-year students are held during Fall and Spring semesters prior to registration for the next semester. All students are strongly encouraged to attend their first-year advising meeting to better understand what the major requirements are and meet faculty in their department. These meetings will be advertised via posters, table tents, and the student newspaper.

If you need assistance at anytime, please contact your Advisor for an appointment. To find out who your advisor is, see the Where to Go For What listing.

Individual Assistance

Feel free to contact us at us by phone at (906) 487-3558, by email, or by our online form.
