The Center for Orientation, Mentoring, Parents, and Academic Student Success (COMPASS) offers two courses designed to enhance academic and personal success and are available to all first-year students: Frameworks for Success and Creating Your Success.
Academic Advisor meetings for all first-year students are held during Fall and Spring semesters prior to registration for the next semester. All students are strongly encouraged to attend their first-year advising meeting to better understand what the major requirements are and meet faculty in their department. These meetings will be advertised via posters, table tents, and the student newspaper.

This handy booklet is sent to all incoming first-year students in late February prior to their fall enrollment at Tech. It is a quick reference guide for students and their families that contain information about important dates, phone numbers, and websites, course placement and scheduling, financial aid, accounts payable, Orientation, and other important items.
